About Me

Chris-vdW
My name is Chris van der Westhuizen, living in Johannesburg, South Africa. Earlier in my career I did electronic fault finding, e.g. on TV and FM transmitters. I used to have electronics as a hobby and mostly did my own repairs. Over the years my job grew more into software and I did not get the time to practice electronics as a hobby any more. Recently one of our TV’s gave a problem and I decided it was time anyway to brush up my electronics knowledge and repaired the TV. My first (or one of my first posts) will be an account of what was wrong with this TV and how I managed to fix it. So this will be a log of al my electronic repairs, I hope it will help somebody or help me to get in contact with somebody who can help me when I need it. Chris
